Three Upcoming DLCs Worth Returning To Your Game Library For

Expansions and downloadable content have a way of pulling players back into titles they thought they had finished. Three upcoming releases are making a strong case for reinstalling games that may already be sitting in your library, offering fresh maps, modes, and crossovers that go well beyond cosmetic updates.

DayZ is heading into the desert. The long-running survival game is preparing a new expansion that trades its familiar forests and coastal towns for a harsh arid environment. Players will need to manage heat, limited water, and new threats while scavenging through an unforgiving landscape. For veterans who mastered the base map years ago, the shift in biome promises a different kind of pressure and a reason to relearn survival basics.

Brotato is taking a trip into the jungle. The wave-based roguelike shooter, known for its short runs and deep build variety, is adding a jungle-themed content drop with new characters, weapons, and enemies. The setting suggests denser combat arenas and possibly new hazards tied to the environment. Fans of the game's chaotic, fast-paced loops will find plenty of new combinations to test.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is going big with a crossover that few expected. A Godzilla-themed track is on the way, bringing the iconic monster into the racing fray. The stage is said to feature destruction, scale, and obstacles inspired by the films, turning a standard lap into a kaiju-sized event. It is the kind of addition that appeals to both racing fans and monster movie enthusiasts.

Each of these updates targets a different audience, but they share one goal: giving players a fresh reason to return to games they already own.
