PlayStation finally confirms Marvel’s Wolverine release date – and it’s coming before GTA6

Insomniac Games and PlayStation have officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine will launch in Fall 2025. This announcement finally provides a clear window for the title, which was first revealed with a teaser trailer back in 2021 and recently showcased its brutal, visceral gameplay in a detailed preview.

The release timing positions the game ahead of another industry behemoth, Grand Theft Auto VI, which is slated for a 2025 release as well. This sets the stage for a major clash in the latter half of next year’s gaming calendar. The recent gameplay demonstration highlighted a dark, mature tone and a combat system focused on the mutant’s iconic adamantium claws, promising a raw and immersive experience true to the character’s legacy.

Developed by the studio behind the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man series, expectations are sky-high for this standalone adventure. The game is confirmed to be set in a distinct universe from Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles, allowing for a dedicated, gritty exploration of Logan’s story. With a firm release period now set, fans can eagerly await stepping into the boots of the legendary X-Man as he embarks on a brutal and personal new mission.
