October 28, 2025 - 13:25
Microsoft is set to revolutionize its gaming console landscape with the next iteration of the Xbox, which will run a complete version of Windows beneath a specially designed interface optimized for television use. This significant shift allows for the integration of popular PC gaming storefronts, including Steam, directly into the console experience.
Gamers can expect a more versatile platform that blurs the lines between traditional console gaming and PC gaming, providing access to a broader library of games. The new Xbox aims to cater to a diverse audience, allowing users to seamlessly switch between console-exclusive titles and a vast array of PC games.
Additionally, this move is likely to encourage developers to create cross-platform games, enhancing the overall gaming ecosystem. With the integration of Windows, features such as game streaming, social connectivity, and multimedia capabilities will also be enhanced, promising an all-encompassing entertainment experience for users.
