The recent Cyberleek leaks gave fans a raw, unfinished slice of Grand Theft Auto 6, but a longer, curated look - reportedly shown to Netflix executives as part of a licensing deal - paints a much fuller picture. That extended presentation, which runs about 40 minutes, includes a dozen notable details that never appeared in the grainy, low-quality captures.
First, the in-game weather system is far more dynamic than expected. Tornadoes can form in the rural parts of Leonida, and they actually tear through mobile home parks, scattering debris and flipping vehicles. Second, the police AI has been completely reworked. Officers now use K-9 units for tracking, and they will set up roadblocks based on your last known direction, not just your current position.
Third, the city of Vice Beach has a fully functional tram system that runs on a schedule, and you can ride it, but you can also hang off the back. Fourth, NPCs have far more complex daily routines. A specific fisherman will leave his dock at 6 AM, drive to a bait shop, and return by noon, every single day, unless you intervene.
Fifth, the extended look shows a deep-sea salvage minigame where you use a submersible to find sunken treasure, and the wreckage is procedurally generated. Sixth, there is a dynamic fire system. A gas station explosion can ignite a block-wide blaze that spreads through alleys and jumps between buildings, forcing you to escape through a burning interior.
Seventh, the wanted system now includes a "witness" mechanic. If someone sees you commit a crime but you let them live, they will report you, and the police will search the area. Eighth, the game features a fully simulated power grid. You can shoot out transformers to black out a district, which disables streetlights and store alarms.
Ninth, the presentation shows a detailed car modification system that goes beyond visual changes. You can swap engines, but you also have to manage cooling and fuel lines, and a bad install can cause your car to overheat. Tenth, there is a new "fame" system tied to your online presence in the game world. Do enough crazy stunts, and NPCs will start filming you and posting about you, which changes how the police react.
Eleventh, the extended look confirms that the game has a day-one photo mode with a full suite of filters, but it also has a "director mode" that lets you control NPCs for short periods. Twelfth, and most surprising, there is a playable arcade inside the main mall, and it features a fully functional, retro-style version of a classic Rockstar title, not just a teaser.
None of these details were visible in the Cyberleek footage, which was mostly captured from a distance and at low resolution. The Netflix presentation, which is reportedly part of a broader streaming deal that may include a documentary about the game's development, gives a much clearer sense of how deep the simulation goes. Fans are still waiting for an official trailer, but this extended look suggests that Rockstar is pushing the boundaries of what an open world can do, far beyond the simple chaos of the leaks.
