Super Mario Odyssey set a high bar for 3D platformers when it launched, mixing open ended worlds with tight controls and a constant stream of new ideas. For players who have already collected every Power Moon and are looking for something to fill the gap, several games capture a similar spirit of exploration and playful design.

A Hat in Time offers a colorful journey built around a young girl with a top hat that grants special abilities. Each world hides plenty of collectibles, and the tone stays light and charming throughout.

Psychonauts 2 puts players inside the minds of troubled characters, turning mental landscapes into inventive levels. The platforming is solid, and the writing adds a layer of humor and heart that stands on its own.

Yooka-Laylee revives the style of classic collectathon platformers, with a lizard and a bat teaming up across large, open stages full of puzzles and secrets.

New Super Lucky's Tale keeps things simple and cheerful, following a fox on a quest through varied worlds that reward curiosity without demanding perfection.

Finally, Sackboy: A Big Adventure brings a crafted aesthetic and cooperative play, letting friends join in as they run, jump, and solve their way through imaginative stages. Each of these games shares the sense of discovery that made Super Mario Odyssey so memorable.
