Steve Allison, who previously served as vice president at Epic Games, has been named chief business officer at Saber Interactive. In his new role, Allison will report directly to Saber's CEO, Matthew Karch.
Allison brings over two decades of experience in the gaming industry to the position. During his time at Epic Games, he was closely involved with the company's storefront strategy and developer relations. Before that, he held leadership roles at other major game companies, including a stint as senior vice president at Atari.
At Saber Interactive, Allison will oversee the company's global business development, partnerships, and commercial strategy. The studio is known for developing and publishing a wide range of titles, including "World War Z," "SnowRunner," and the upcoming "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" remake.
Saber Interactive has been expanding rapidly in recent years, with multiple studios around the world. The company has also taken on significant publishing duties, handling titles from both internal teams and external developers. Allison's appointment is seen as a move to strengthen Saber's commercial operations as it continues to grow its portfolio.
Matthew Karch, Saber's CEO, said the company is excited to have Allison on board, citing his deep understanding of the games market and his track record of building strong relationships with developers and platform holders. Allison expressed enthusiasm about joining Saber at a time when the studio is working on some of its most ambitious projects yet.
