First, the constant switching between characters felt more like a chore than a feature. The game kept forcing you to swap between Jason and Lucia mid-mission, and it broke the flow. It was less about strategy and more about padding the runtime.
Second, the driving physics looked way too floaty. Cars seemed to glide over the pavement with zero weight, and the crash animations were surprisingly weak. For a game that prides itself on chaos, the collisions felt like a step back from GTA V.
Third, the police AI was a joke. Cops would just stand around while you committed crimes right in front of them, only to suddenly become psychic and know your exact location five blocks away. It was either brain-dead or omniscient, with no middle ground.
Fourth, the mission structure felt like a checklist. Go here, steal this, escape, repeat. There was no organic sandbox feel, just a linear path with a shiny coat of paint. It felt like they were playing it safe instead of pushing the series forward.
Finally, the graphics were inconsistent. Some scenes looked photorealistic, but others had muddy textures and pop-in that would embarrass a last-gen title. For a game this long in development, that was a hard pill to swallow.
The reveal had its moments, but these five issues left a sour taste. Rockstar can do better, and honestly, they have before.
